Odisha +3 e-Admission 2025-26: Complete Schedule and Admission Procedure Explained

The Higher Education Department of Odisha has released the official schedule for e-Admission into Undergraduate (+3) Degree Colleges (including Self-Financing and Sanskrit Colleges) under SAMS for the academic session 2025–26.

This guide outlines the complete admission timeline, important instructions, options like Slide/Float/Freeze, and document verification details for students participating in the e-Admission process.

🧾 Odisha +3 Admission Procedure 2025-26

1.       Intimation Letter: Selected applicants must bring the Intimation Letter to the allotted college on the specified date/time.

2.      Original Document Verification: All original documents must be shown at the destination HEI (college). No documents are to be deposited.

3.      Slide/Float/Freeze Options Explained:

4.       - Float: Keeps the seat but seeks a better Major Subject in the same college.

5.       - Slide: Keeps the seat but seeks a better Subject or HEI.

6.         - Freeze: Satisfied with allotted seat (both subject and HEI).

7.       Mandatory Fee Payment: Students must pay the admission fees shown during the option selection process.

8.       Subsequent Rounds: If opted for Slide, only Float and Freeze will be available in the next rounds.

9.       Compulsory Option Selection: If allotted in Round 1, candidates must select one of the three options to remain in the admission process.

10.   No Option Selection = Continue: If a candidate does not opt for any option, the previous selection will continue automatically.

11.   Freeze = Final: Those selecting Freeze must pay the fees and report to the institution for admission.

12.   Fees Already Paid (Slide/Float): Students need not repay if already paid during earlier rounds and not changing preference.

13.   Freeze Mandate: Students allotted in 1st round or opted Freeze must take admission; otherwise, their seats will be cancelled.

14.   Discrepancies in CAF: Any mismatch will result in admission being denied by the college.

15.   Special Rejection Scenarios: Reservation mismatch, weightage, and certificate errors can result in rejection unless corrected via “Error Correction”.

16.   “Not Reported” Option: HEIs may mark students who don’t report as “Not Reported” in the portal.

17.   Document Verification Location: All verification must be done at the destination HEI only.

Note: DigiLocker certificates will be accepted temporarily, but originals must be produced later for verification.

Step-by-Step process to know your status(First Selection):

1. Go to the official SAMS Odisha website: https://www.samsodisha.gov.in.

2.     On the homepage, look for the "Degree(+3) Know your First selection status" tab or link.

3.     Click on the link to be directed to the Know your selection status portal.

You will be prompted to enter some of your personal details, which may include:

4.     Bar code Number: This is the number you received when you completed the CAF.

5.     Register Mobile Number: Enter your Mobile no. Which you register at the time of filling CAF.

6.     Security PIN: This is a captcha.

Check Your Status

7.     After entering the necessary details, click on the "Submit" button.

8.     The system will display your first selection status, showing whether you have been selected or not for your desired course in the first list.

9.     If you have been selected, the details will include the college name, course, and any other relevant information.

If you have been selected, you will have the option to either Freeze/float/slide. Do accordingly from 12/06/2025 (12:00 PM) to 17/06/2025 (03:00 PM)
